A unique online tool has been launched by Balgores Property Group, which
allows clients to have instant access to valuations on their home.
The Value My
Property tool has already attracted thousands of people who are considering
selling their house, as well as those who are simply curious about what their
property could be worth.
The technology was launched on the Balgores website at the end of 2015
and it has created quite a buzz. Martin
Gibbon, a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents and Group
Director of Balgores Property Group comments: “This is so useful for anyone who is
thinking about selling their property.
“What often happens is that someone puts their house up for sale in
their street and then their neighbours start to think, ‘Oh I wonder what ours
is worth?’ But people don’t always want to contact an estate agent at this
point and have to pretend to be thinking of selling their house.
“With Value My Property, all you have to do is put a few details in
about your property and when you might be thinking of selling. You might be
thinking of going on the market as soon as possible or sometime that year, or
if you are simply being nosey, then that is fine too. The new tool will then
produce a valuation price. It uses average house price data however doesn’t
take into consideration individual factors such as extensions, refurbishments
and unique market conditions, which is why we would always recommend
contacting us to arrange for us to visit you for a detailed appraisal. Anyone in the country can use this
tool, you don’t have to live in Essex.”
The team at Balgores has been busy promoting the tool via its marketing
platforms and recently launched Balgores Property Times, distributed to over
70,000 people throughout Essex, along with social media and with
a widespread radio campaign on Heart Essex.
Martin Gibbon continues: “We are absolutely delighted with how well it’s
been received, and the feedback from the public has been extremely positive. It’s
very clear that we are now living in an instant culture. If you want a want a car insurance quote, you
just get one instantly online now. People don’t want to have to ring up an
estate agent, book an appointment and wait for a valuation just to get an idea
of what they might get. Of course it depends on various factors, but it gives
you a great starting point.
“However, if you are thinking of selling it’s always best for us to visit
and give a full appraisal. At the same
time we can give you an accurate idea of moving costs including solicitor’s
fees, stamp duty, land registry and surveys together with advice on mortgages.
“Value My Property is just one of the many things that make us stand out
from the competition. Our marketing is second to none, and includes
professional photography, glossy marketing brochures with floor plans and free
EPCs, property videos and accompanied viewings. Our offices also provide a dedicated sales progresser, who
will track your sale, all the way from offer to completion, making for a
smooth, stress free transaction."
